1.Take a Back Stage Tour at Woodstock Dwarf House/Chick-fil-A. Tours are held Monday & Thursday from 2pm-4pm and on Tuesday morning from 9am-11am. Click here to see their calendar and sign up for a tour!
2. Head to the Chattahoochee Nature Center. During spring break they will be holding their regular programs like Creature Feature, Feeding Time, & Storytime by the River but they will also have the Bio Buggies out each day, STARLAB will be set up on Friday, and everyday Monday - Friday kids can help build a cardboard city. Bring empty cardboard boxes and other recyclable items (tin cans, plastic bottles, PVC pipes and more) to CNC on spring break week. We’ll work to raise a booming metropolis from everyday items. 3. Go to the Movies (and check out some books!) Our Cobb Libraries are offering 12 FREE kid-friendly movies at 3 differently locations throughout the week! You can find those Spring Break Movies listed on our calendar or click here to view the full Cobb Library calendar.
4. Hear a good book. Any day this week you can find a storytime - most listed here are FREE
- Cobb libraries are having their story times for babies to school age children all week! Check their schedule for days and times at your favorite location.
- PLAY Activity Center on Monday & Thursday at 10:30 (Craft Room is also open everyday this week which is free if you decide to pay so you can stay and play after storytime)
- FoxTales Book Shoppe is celebrating Mo Williem's newest book "Happy Pig Day"on Monday from 11:30 - 1pm for ages 4+: COST: $20 includes a copy of the book Happy Pig Day plus an hour and a half of age appropriate activities and crafts!
- Tales for Tots at Whole Foods Tuesday at 10am - free but call to register: 678.996.9700
- Easter Stories at Barnes & Noble Town Center Prado on Tuesday & Saturday at 11am
- Cosmic Possum Storytime with Miss Mary at Ben Robertson Community Center in Kennesaw on Tuesday & Friday at 10:30. - FREE bust best to call and confirm schedule: (770) 422-9714
- Storytime by the River at Chattahoochee Nature Center on Wednesday at 10:30 for ages 3-5 (included with your admission)
- Tales for Toddlers at Bean Head Toys on Johnson Ferry in Sandy Springs on Thursday at 10:30 - all ages welcome
5. Scope out a new playground or enjoy an old favorite! Pack a picnic, bubbles, balls, and your bikes. Click here for some ideas of activities you can do while outdoors at the park or even your own backyard!
- Harrison Park on Shallowford Rd. Turn into the entrance of Lassiter High School on Shallowford Rd and you will see one of the playgrounds to the right - great little playground, bathrooms available
- Swift-Cantrell Park in Kennesaw - tons of fun...2 playgrounds - one for the big kids one for the little, picnic areas, open spaces for running, fenced dog park, paved path great for riding bikes, bathrooms!

- Roswell Area Park - one of our favorites because there is lots of shade. 3 playgrounds - big kid, little kid and a fenced off playground area for toddlers, swings, picnic tables, trails, bathrooms!
- East Cobb Park - 3 different playscapes which includes a playground for special needs (upper parking lot area), picnic tables, open spaces for playing ball or flying a kite, path for bike riding, trails, and my kids favorite part... a creek for dipping your toes (be sure to wear some water shoes ...we always find bits of glass when we are playing in the creek!)
- Beyond Cobb but worth the drive: Wills Park in Alpharetta
